- Hey all, haven't been around much after surgery and getting myself fixed up, but I wanted to wish everyone a great holiday season.
I had some chance clear skies for about a night and a half and did a wild overprocessed Christmas Tree Cluster (NGC2264) for ya for the holiday.
Enjoy and hope everyone is well!Hey all, haven't been around much after surgery and getting myself fixed up, but I wanted to wish everyone a great holiday season. Sorry I haven't been around my guys and gals. Soon to return... pretty much been in this position for a hot minute.Where's bits been the past few weeks? Sorry I haven't been around my guys and gals. This is all up in the business of the Heart Nebula (Sh2-190) in somewhat of the Hubble color palette.
7,500Ly away in the constellation Cassiopeia. 18 hours of images.Ok, I could NOT be happier for the way this one came out. I legit need all 5 min of my starting soon to untangle my headphones.
every. time. The debate is over. I legit need all 5 min of my starting soon to untangle my headphones. every. time. - Season wise I am in a weird spot with what's visible from my yard. So I took a few hours of images of a cool planetary nebula (Helix Nebula) kinda with the wrong telescope for the job. It's still cool.
Next season I will shoot it with the right one. Will be doing the other target on stream tonight, the Iris Nebula. I have a hard time with reflection nebulae so we will see how it goes!Season wise I am in a weird spot with what's visible from my yard. Tried some new stuff and it's wonky, but still cool.
NGC 7635 (Bubble Nebula) is a big molecular cloud within which stellar winds from a hot star (45x our sun) inside are pushing interstellar gas out in front of it, forming the shell of the bubble. - Snagged these guys on stream Thursday night. Tried to get Uranus and Neptune as well, but Uranus is too low on the horizon and Neptune is just too small.
Caught the Great Red Spot on Jupiter and Io (moon) in transit.Snagged these guys on stream Thursday night. These are my first images after 3 nights of failure (e.g. learning) and I am happy with the way they came out. These were taken from my backyard in ATL on Monday night.I made the move towards trying planetary photography, and it is super tough!
