Being a chronically ill and disabled streamer is so very hard.
So much harder than anyone realises.
All because I am trying to earn money for food and heat as someone chronically ill, disabled and living on a poverty income of just over £300 a month (USD $240)

I am bedbound for 4 days now after a stream. Used to be 2, then 3, now 4 which is hard as I have 2 streams a week.

I am left in extreme pain and extremely fatigued due to chronic pain and chronic fatigue, both of which are severe and leave me disabled, unable to work at all.

I live in poverty on just over £300 a month, which doesn't cover rent so I have to share a house or I would be homeless.
I pay towards bills, my food and heating and that is it, but I can't even afford that on my poverty income.

Did you know that my only hope of an income is from my Twitch stream?

I never expect a penny and say that a lot. If I am lucky enough to get a sub (I struggle to get 3 a month) I am close to tears as I am that grateful.

I rarely get more than $3-$7 a month on Twitch, even after nearly 4 years of streaming.
This is because I can't promote myself enough, nor network as I am literally in bed recovering when not streaming.

I guess the story is to say that you don't know how hard it is for some of us to stream.

I do this as a job and said that since day 1. I also say all the time I don't expect a penny, but if you do support me, you are putting food on the table and allowing me heating. Both I can't afford enough of (no heat at all) due to poverty.

It is a million times harder for me to stream than someone who isn't chronically ill, and it is a billion times harder to get viewers as I can't do the things you need to, to grow on Twitch.
