As originally rumored by CrackBerry and the buzz was loud over the weekend, Onward Mobility is the latest embarrassing flop in the startup community.
Without being ceremonial or anything like that, the company confirmed that it is liquidating its assets without mentioning ANYTHING that BlackBerry had long ago withdrawn its license to create phones with its brand.
Obviously the survival of the company depended on the proposed BlackBerry 5G being a success.
There were indications that the company was simply going to remove all references to BlackBerry to continue designing the phone, but apparently it could not cope with the onslaught of the semiconductor shortage that affects the industry in general, so its Achilles' Heel was more its lack of transparency and lack of communication above all.
