Difficult month for Nvidia and not only because they had to give up buying ARM, but last weekend they told the press that there was an incident that they are investigating.

But sources indicate that security systems detected an intrusion where hackers left a ransomware which is claimed to have compromised more than 1TB of data and if they are not compensated, it will be spreading on the Dark Web.

A group of hackers called Lapsus claimed responsibility and in fact leaked the credentials of Nvidia employees and it is believed that only one compromise was enough for the intrusion.

The information they hold aside from employee credentials is heavily rumored to include RTX video card data and specs that have not been announced yet and circumvented an early attempt by Nvidia to wipe the leaked information remotely.

That was ugly.
