La nueva serie original de Resident Evil debutará su primera temporada en Netflix el 14 de Julio de este año. A diferencia de su fallido regreso a los cines, será una historia original situada en el 2036 con Jade Wesker, hijo de Albert Wesker y quien sobrevive en un mundo condenado a la supervivencia de horror luego que los eventos de Racoon City de 1998 se salieran totalmente de control y este enfrenta las consecuencias de las conexiones de su padre con Umbrella Corporation y su pasado con su hermana Billie Se sabe que Albert Wesker será interpretado aquí por Lance Reddick (Zavala - Destiny). Lamentablemente, la nueva película que mezcla elementos y la historia directa de Resident Evil 1 y 2, no trajo buenas críticas y no emuló la magia de la serie de películas de Paul W.S.
