For days, users have been reporting that the Wii and Wii U stores are not connected to Nintendo's servers despite promises from the Japanese company that they will remain online for the foreseeable future so that old content can be downloaded. As of this writing, there hasn't been an official statement from Nintendo as to what's really going on, but clearly, this is no longer a priority. En incredible pero predecible nota, Nintendo oficializó el cierre de las tiendas digitales de las mencionadas consolas de videojuegos para el próximo mes. A partir del cierre no será posible ni comprar títulos nuevos NI TAMPOCO usar créditos y todo crédito debería ser transferido al Nintendo eShop antes del cierre. Sin directamente comprometerse, Nintendo indicó que usuarios que hayan hecho inversiones pueden volver a bajar sus contenidos por el futuro predecible y en resumen, Nintendo justifica esta decisión por la merma de uso que ha estado viendo en sus métricas.
