Microsoft announced that #Xbox Live Gold will be closed on September 14th & replaced with a new Xbox Game Pass tier called Game Pass core for $10/month. Includes all XLG offerings but except free claimable games, a selected set of 25 games that will switch like the other tiers.

Still don't get why Sony, Microsoft and Google decided to hold respectively PS Plus, Xbox Live Gold and Stadia Pro's June offering... BUT...I will not expect anything else to not over-hype myself by neither of them and be disappointing by speculating the unusually long time

A lot of people shitting on games with gold because it's been kind of a boring couple of months, telling Xbox to discontinue it and all that Yeah, ok, sure, let's discontinue something that adds value to the customer and advertises some lesser known games on a bigger platform. And the bleeting sheep seem to forget that the license sticks with you as long as xbox live exists, unlike gamepass, which is awesome and amazing and deserves all the praise.. but let's not forget that titles regularly cycle out at any time. That title you're working through might get kicked out tomorrow or during your vacation before you're done. It's happened to me several times, but those games with gold titles?
