Hopefully by next week, Outriders will gain a second air after a rocky launch and a challenging year1 with the release of its first expansion Worldslayer and with this, its developer People Can Fly used their official Reddit to let us know what to expect.

Right off the bat, PCF started acknowledging that things were not as planned when Outriders launched regarding combat systems and dynamics.

For Wordslayer, the Challenge Tiers will now be called Apocalypse Tiers and the design is expected to bring a more streamlined and stable environment as the changes will go retroactively to year one content, regardless if you buy the expansion or not.

Balancing the game, including difficulties with certain enemies that should not be a pain in the arse to defeat and monsters that challenges are expected will now take some improvement to be as consistent and logical  as possible and obviously, improve the engagement for players.

This point in particular is acknowledging some of the shorts that were not supposed to be short  and failed goals, the same goes for base game sets and mods that have been given an extreme makeover, including a rebalancing.

Mods and weapons will have notable changes and for the best, again, PCF acknowledging they went short on this for Year 1 and you should really give a good read on their Reddit post for ruther reading.

As for the release, Outriders Worldslayer will launch into Early Access on June 28th, starting at 9:00am PDT / 16:00 UTC / 17:00 BST with expected full availability by June 30th after programmed launch on June 29th.

REgardless you buy the expansion or not, you can expect an update to the game on all platforms (transparent on Cloud Gaming  [Stadia and Xbox Game Pass Cloud]), that will include the base for applying the expansion when you buy it later and changes that will go for the game in general.
