While we knew that with Starfield and Redfall delayed and hence making Quakecon this year more like a repeater for announcements already made, we did expect to have proper updates from both or either games and Bethesda did not fail on this one, at least for Redfall.
So what new we learned from Redfall via Quakecon 2022?
Indeed Bethesda wanted to make up for delaying the game with brand-0new details, including that will feature a number of powerful bosses known as “vampire gods” that have trapped you in the Massachusetts town and all this thanks to Aevum Laboratories, a pharma company that came to the town of Redfall to research life extension and eventually created vampires.
The vampires in the game have chosen to take Aevum’s technology, transforming into a blood dependent being in the name of living forever.
But the ones that take Aevum’s technology to its very limits become supremely powerful monsters that Arkane refers to as vampire gods.
The developers of the game revealed that these vampire gods are then one working behind the scenes with every challenge that we will find in the game and there are hints that the game might have moments where the player needs to focus on special targets.
As if things should be difficult enough, the vampires those evolide and for the worst, one of the mutations was revealed as Bloodbag, a creature that appears to serve as a “blood replenish” for other vampires.
Redfall is being developed by Arkane Studios and will be an open world first-person shooter video game that features both single-player and cooperative multiplayer modes, where players can choose among four playable characters with unique backgrounds and ability to fight against vampires as well as human enemies within the game.
