Usually on other platforms, I do a post-stream summary. I'm going to start doing them on here!
So last night, I had two streams, both in my 49ers Franchise in Madden 06. We won out second straight Super Bowl in an AMAZING game against Peyton Manning and the Colts, winning 45-41, thanks to an amazing drive led by Super Bowl MVP Alex Smith!
In the off-season we let the often-injured and underachieving Brandon Lloyd walk despite a great game in the Super Bowl, drafting MIchigan WR Steve Breaston (1st RD) & Iowa State WR Todd Blythe (4th RD) to replace him. Other notable players were drafted included Georgia TE Leonard Pope (2nd RD), Michigan LB Prescott Burgess (5th RD), and Oregon SS Patrick Chung (7th RD).
MLB Derek Smith also left via free agency, and AJ Hawk will be stepping in to start in his place alongside Jeff Ulbrich.
We didn't make too many waves in free agency. It's kind of hard to justify signing anyone when your team is already stacked. We really just signed a few players to fill out positional needs.
We started Year 3 after the off-season with the unfortunate news of Marcedes Lewis being lost for the season due to a foot fracture. However, rookie Leonard Pope stepped in admirably in his first game, catching nine passes for 115 yards and a touchdown as we defeated Matt Leinart at the Cleveland Browns 45-27 to kick the season off. We then followed up with a hard-fought 19-13 victory over Drew Tate and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when they inexplicably kicked it deep after scoring a touchdown with 12 seconds left. Why? Because Madden, that's why.
I decided to play one more game last night after hanging out at a bar, and it was probably not the best idea, because we ended up losing to the Aaron Brooks-less New Orleans Saints, 29-19, ending any hope of going undefeated. Still, overall, our team remains strong, and a 3-peat looks possible.
Thank you everybody who showed up to either stream yesterday I really appreciate you all!
Big shoutout to TheBlackSuperSaiyanRose, saintbreesuss, &Garnet_US for the raids, WTFCHUCKOMG, dacoolkids1, & Shraidz for the subs, and LuckyTheSeventh, ChumpyCadet144, & vdubproductions for the bits!
I will be back tomorrow night at around 4PM EST (subject to change) with the RETURN of the Meridian dynasty in NCAA Football 06! Much love!
