It seems that Google, Microsoft, Nvidia and Amazon need to pay more attention as a rising competitor called Blacknut is keeping rising. The last time I wrote about this company was when Square Enix confirmed having invested in them over 2 months ago despite Square Enix being high on Stadia.
This week, in a joint venture, Blacknut announced that it reached an agreement with LG to have the service pre-installed on all their LEDs launched in 2022 with WebOS 6.0 as minimum, pretty much responding to Cloud Gaming advances of Samsung Gaming Hub.
Much like Immersive Stream (Stadia B2B variant) and Project Moorcroft (Xbox Game Pass Cloud B2B version), Blacknut's main business is offering Cloud Gaming solutions to companies and the advantage that probably was a no-brainer for Square Enix and LG to invest/partner with Blacknut.
The new cloud gaming app will be arriving starting this month on the LG Apps Store on LG TVs running webOS 6.0 and webOS 2022.
