Nintendo went through with its Nintendo Direct exclusively focused on the product of its joint venture with Illumination Animation Studio that will bring Super Mario in theaters and we got the first glance with Chris Pratt as Mario.

In a simulcast on YouTube and New York Comic Con, Nintendo alongside Illumination presented the first trailer teaser for The Super Mario Bros. Movie as promised via a special but short edition of Nintendo Direct.

The Nintendo Direct revealed some aspect of Shigueru Miyamoto involved in the realization of the movie and it was revealed that this movie was 7 years in the making with direct involvement of Illumination’s CEO and founder Chris Meledandri.

Also actors Chris Pratt and Jack Black, respectively Mario and Bowser, also had a few things to say about their participation in the movie.

The Super Mario Bros. Mobile will premiere in theaters April 7, 2023 and the cast also includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, Fred Armisen, Kevin Michael Richardson, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Charles Martinet.
