Honestly there is no much to talk of Stadia as there are no more positive news and all the contrary, I seen in social media how gaming publishers and developers practically needs to make some loses, and in worst-case, studios that were preparing to have Stadia as their main income as proposed games now needs to be redeveloped for other platforms if the change is viable that is.

But I cannot ignore a new development on an old rumor about Google, Stadia, Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions.

It was well know that Google, when it was in the mood to direct partnership and giving out funds for game development, had almost Hideo Kojima on board but (here we go again…) Phil Harrison rejecting a game proposal that included a episodic horror game because he simply “didn’t like it”.

Well, sources at 9to5Google, claimed that the case was actually worse…

The proposed game was actually a direct sequel for Death Stranding and instead of an ongoing multiple platform, the game would have been an exclusive for Stadia and the concept was that instead of a non-invasive social aspect within the game, the potential DS2 would have been a solo player experience.

Apparently, Harrison dismissed the game as he believed that solo playing is no longer the future of gaming (and since PS3 he hasn’t made a hit and dares to benchmark the industry).

This prompted Hideo Kojima to releval some time later that he proposed Kojima Productions’s ideas to other platforms “but this is the state of the industry”, acknowledging that they weren't helped.

Hey, I get that it is suggestive and debatable if a Kojima Productions and Stadia partnership could not have made some difference to today’s reality, but my main problem with Stadia was actually the disconnected way that it was managed and expected industry to go along.
