Krafton, the owners of PUBG have been working on stuff outside the major Battle Royale and seems that things are going so well that they needed to recruit more people and did so by buying the gaming studio behind the game The Ascent.

During their earnings release conferences with investors, South Korean gaming studio and current owner and maintainer of PUBG announced that they entered in an agreement to buy Neon Giant, the studio developers of the game The Ascent.

Based in Sweden and founded in 2018 by veterans who had worked on franchises like  Bulletstorm, Wolfenstein, and Doom, gained traction with special interest including an investment and direct support from Epic Games with the development of the game we now know as The Ascent.

While no major details were offered as Neon Giant became the ninth studio that Krafton has acquired, it was revealed that the next big project post The Ascent is open-world first-person shooter but no release date target was shared at this time.
