In esport related news, Activision and Google seems to have parted ways in their agreement on hosting not only Google Cloud as part of Call Of Duty backend access, but having the official Call Of Duty League to be a YouTube Gaming exclusive event.

Via their official Twitter presence, Call OF Duty League confirmed that the opening of Season 2023-24 of Call Of Duty esport league will kickoff beginning December 2 and it will be streamed exclusively on Twitch, NOT YouTube.

While the change took many by surprise as it has been speculated that the streaming agreement with YouTube is at least until January 2023.

Obviously the Activision and Google agreement came in time by the high season and year 1 of Stadia and many assumed that Call Of Duty was Stadia bound, at least with Call Of Duty Warzone but obviously, we were wrong.

Neither Twitch nor Activision & the Call Of Duty League have said anything about the reaction in social media but a direct effect on Twitch regaining exclusivity of Call Of Duty League is that streamer banned on Twitch cannot play officially in the league, which I always questioned why one thing has to do with another as I see it mutually irrelevant from one to the other.
