I dislike drama, but unfortunately this is a big one to just ignore in the almost minimally impacted esport community of Super Smash Bros. and the downfall of the relationship of Nintendo and Smash World Tour.

The CEO of Panda Global has been removed from his role following Smash Bros tournament allegations that have led to numerous members leaving the eSports organization.

This comes as an effect of Smash World Tour denouncing that Nintendo removed them of being an authorized esport organizer for Super Smash Bros. due to outside interference of Panda Global to be the sole esport event organizer officially sanctioned by Nintendo via falsely claiming that SWT was closing out.

On his part, Nintendo said that Smash World Tour 2022 cancellation was not per their request but claims that Smash World Tour was not in-compliance with their requirement nor were they sold on ideas for 2022 and 2023 festivities.

According to the statement, Panda has set up a temporary ‘Interim Management Committee’, which will help release anyone who wishes to resign from their contractual obligations.

Additionally, due to security concerns for staff and contractors, the Panda Cup Finale is postponed.
