Well, new year and practically Electronic Arts started with the wrong foot with bad news for over 60% of people that logged their save files on their Madden NFL 23 progression via Electronic Arts servers.
Electronic Arts explained today that due a “data storage issue” that occurred at 2:45 PM US Eastern Time on December 28th 2022, 60% of players that attempted to continue where they left everything off in Franchise Mode, could not load data and that the loss is irrecuperable.
“First off, we are sorry that this happened.
We know how important your franchises are to you and we are actively working on a fix to restore some files via a backup as soon as possible.
However, not all affected leagues can be restored. The team is currently projecting around 40% of leagues to be recovered.”
Of course, the only solution that EA is offering right now is to start from scratch a new Franchise mode but, pretty much did not say or have a timeline on how many players lands in the 40% of the data that could be restored.
As far as I know this is a first for EA, EA Sport and Madden NFL in general.
