Streamers and general gamers alike were happy to hear that full Discord support was coming for both Xbox and Playstation platforms, being the Playstation 5 the last one to join the party and we are just a BETA away.
Sony announced that the new BETA for a future firmware for Playstation 5 includes a preliminary support for Voice Chat with gamers and users without having a PC as a middle-man.
Not only being able to talk without much hurdle, but the Discord client of PS% will be ready to allow Share Screen sessions with a friend directly from their profile.
Also, fans that wish more love for being on 2K screen, Sony is improving the support for 1440p monitor as the previous version initialized the support for 2K screens but not including Variable Refresh Rate and now, this BETA includes VRR support officially.
The update will include a function where the Playstation 5 can be internally set up depending on the requirements of your monitor, but the monitor itself is required to be a HDMI 2.1 compliant one for the full support.
Elsewhere, the BETA Firmware also includes transferring data from PS5 to PS5, manually uploading game captures to the PlayStation App, using voice commands to capture video clips and the ability to sort and filter games when adding them to a game list.
Users from S, UK, Canada, Japan, Germany and France should be receiving invitation notification as of the writing of this to participate.
