After announcing the first edition of State Of Play in 2023, Playstation compiled to showcase what can we expect on the first batch of games that should be expected this year, and while I am not going to judge if many people had their expectation high or not, here are the things that were presented.

The Foglands is an atmospheric roguelike adventure where you'll discover new paths and uncover old secrets and will be part of the first group of games that will have support for PSVR 2.

Green Hell Green Hell VR, you can explore the harsh rainforest from the comfort of your own room. With PS VR2, you can really see how it feels to wade through the lush vegetation and make the jungle your home, if only temporarily. It is an immersive and sometimes quite scary experience, so be prepared!

Synapse is a new VR shooter from nDreams with telekinetic combat abilities & an incredible art style. The game launches on the PSVR2 in 2023.

In Journey To Foundation, you play as Ward, an agent of the powerful Commission of Public Safety, who is sent to investigate civil unrest at the edge of the Galactic Empire. The Empire has kept peace across the galaxy for over 12 thousand years, but cracks have started to emerge. Stagnation, apathy, and internal revolt all threaten to break it apart.

Before Your Eyes, the critically acclaimed first-person narrative title, is coming to PlayStation VR2 on March 10th.

With the end of February, comes Destiny 2 newest expansion called Lightfall and the lore of the expansion has even been based on the discovery of the cyberpunk-like city Neomuna on Neptune. Neomuna has survived the Collapse and the arrival of the Black Fleet in the Solar System. The city is populated by humans that had been previously cut off from the rest of the system; these humans lack the Light granted by the Traveler but instead have trained Cloud Striders—voluntary human soldiers who have undergone cybernetic augmentation at the cost of significantly reducing their lifespan—that help to defend the city.

Bungie firstly implied that Lightfall was going to be the last expansion before Bungie began to focus on their next IP, but in 2022, the studio confirmed that the next IP will NOT mean that no more content are being developed and actually 2024’s expansion was already teased as The Final Shape.

Tchia is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Awaceb and published by Kepler Interactive. In the game, the player assumes control of the titular character as she explores a fictional archipelago inspired by New Caledonia.

Humanity is a puzzle-solving game and you are a Shiba Inu, charged with commanding massive, marching crowds to jump, turn, push, float, shoot, and climb their way to salvation. Guide the masses through this sampling of levels (90-plus stages in the full game Story Mode!) filled with obstacles, enemies, puzzles, and unlockable skills, or browse a wide array of user-made challenges (or build your own!) crafted via the super easy-to-use in-game Stage Creator and YOU ARE A DOG. 

Goodbye Volcano High is an upcoming narrative adventure indie game developed and published by Canadian studio KO_OP. The game is scheduled for release on June 15, 2023.

Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm CONNECTIONS is a unique game experience that combines key gameplay moments from the series that highlight select scenes from across Naruto and Sasuke’s deeply emotional story arcs. The experience immerses both new and long-time fans in an exciting Naruto action game, where they can relive some of the most important and beloved storylines from the series’ history. In addition to this, an original story will also be available in the game.

Baldur's Gate III is an upcoming role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. It is the third main game in the Baldur's Gate series, which is itself based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing system.

Wayfinder is a character-based, online action-RPG that takes place in a shared online world that we call Evenor. Evenor has been shattered by a destructive and chaotic force called The Gloom and you must harness the power of a Wayfinder to control the Chaos.

Next is up is Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League as a next game under the Arkham universe of Batman and basically, WB Games confirmed the release of the game by May 26th, but the detail is that the game is going to be a live service Marvel’s Avenger-esque type of game which will MAKE A REQUIEREMENT to have Internet connection and it is already official in it’s FAQ regardless you are playing solo.
