We were waiting on some unannounced news that Blizzard Entertainment wanted to share with upcoming Diablo game Diablo IV and expectations were high that a new BETA was opened or maybe a reversal on the no-Game Pass Day 1.
While the later proved to be wrong, not the new BETA and Blizzard announced that Diablo IV will have a new BETA called Server Slam.
In Server Slam, user from Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 can try the game regardless if they pre pre-ordered or not with the addition of being cross-play and cross-platform.
Server Slams will include improvement based on the feedback on the Early Access and the Open BETA of last month.
Server Slam will take place From May 12, 12 p.m.–May 14, 12 p.m. PDT and will be the same thing as the previous BETA as players will only have access throughout the whole Act 1 and level capping will be at Level 20 and unfortunately, any progress from the previous BETAs nor this one will carry on the stable release.
A unique challenge of Server Slame will be Ashava, a lumbering behemoth with two razor-sharp arm blades, scales stronger than plate mail, and hell-bent on ripping through all who interrupt her quest to bathe Sanctuary in poisonous bile.
Blizzard already said that it will be quite a challenge to beat at Level 20 and feel proud if you manage to do it.
Finally, for Steam Deck fans, Blizzard has some great news as Diablo IV is already Steam Deck ready when the game launches officially on Steam for PC on June 6.
