2K Games, Rockstar and other gaming studios owned by the conglomerate Take-Two Interactive, had their parent company take its turn to announce how everything went on Q4 2023 and the close of Fiscal Year 2024.

For Q4 2023, Take-Two Interactive reported that it has made $1,446 of Revenue with $1,394 of net bookings, meanwhile the whole Fiscal Year went with $5,350 and $5,284 respectively and the numbers could have been better if it wasn’t for the challenges that still coming to the gaming industry, metrics have been on part of expectations.

Q4 reflected better-than-expected results from Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Zynga’s mobile portfolio and for the whole year recurrent consumer spending increased 88%, which was above the company’s guidance.

People following this kind of news are actually happy as Take-Two Interactive seems to have confirmed implicit the release of Grand Theft Auto VI with the following on their press release:

"For the last several years, we have been preparing our business to release an incredibly robust pipeline of projects.

During the 2025 fiscal year, Take-Two plans on "launching several groundbreaking titles that we believe will set new standards in our industry." In addition, it stated that these projects are projected to bring in "over $8 billion in net bookings."

According to Zelnick, the company is currently planning on releasing 36 new titles within the next two years, which would seem to pave the way for a busy (and profitable) couple of years for Take-Two and its subsidiaries.

Grand Theft Auto VI was finally confirmed to be in development by Rockstar Games last year and while there were massive leaks beyond Rockstar and Take-Two, it seems that they already left that behind.

Reportedly, the setting of the game will be a modern-day Vice City and the most massive open world map including connection with other cities as the post-launch content progress and as for the character the player will be playing, it has been suggested in will be a latin american woman living in Vice City and she and her boyfriend will bring a Bonnie & Clyde vibe for the game lore.
