After many years of rumors within the tech and Apple fandom communities, the time arrived at WWDC 23 for the curtain to open and the world got a glimpse of what we will now know as Apple Vision Pro.

I don’t know if you are ready to spend a HEFTY $3,499, the price of a ULTRA HIGH TIER GAMING PC for just a mixed-reality headset (which to me is 90% AR and 10% VR) which Apple announced as the Apple Vision Pro.

The headset touted as a “first spatial computer” is built with a dual processor of an Apple M2 and the newly announced Apple R1 which is the virtual and augmented reality motor of the headset.

With combination, Apple claims that the Vision Pro creates an infinite canvas for apps that scales beyond the boundaries of a traditional display and introduces a fully three-dimensional user interface controlled by the most natural and intuitive inputs possible, a user’s eyes, hands, and voice.

Vision Pro features an ultra-high-resolution display system that packs 23 million pixels across two displays and a Spatial Audio as part of its stack, that enables the user to have sound within the perspective or point of view, regardless of the physical position in real life of the user.

In gaming terms and thanks to the full support of Unity (no, don’t expect EVER to see Unreal Engine after the Fortnite saga between Apple and Epic Games), Apple Vision Pro will be launched with over 100 games under the Apple Arcade service available and already with support for the Playstation DualSense controller support.

Again the price tag is for a HEFTY $3,499 and I dare to see that Apple should have just come forward and say that this is for developers or wealthy power users and that maybe a “consumer Apple Vision (non-pro) could be on its way in a BETTER pricing.
