Yesterday afternoon it was heavily reported that Beyond Good & Evil 2 creative director Emile Morel has reportedly passed away and indeed it was confirmed by colleagues and friends mourning Morel who died at 40 years old.

IGN noted a lot of entries from personnel of Ubisoft lamenting the passing and tributing of gaming veteran Emile Morel.

Emile Morel began his career working at Eden Games on the Test Drive Unlimited and Alone in the Dark franchises and then moving to Ubisoft in 2009.

At Ubisoft he was behind in the creative direction and is attributed to the success of Rayman Legends as the game lead designer and also, worked on the mobile game Rayman Fiesta Run, and on 2011's The Adventures of Tintin.

Also, Morel served as Game Director For Beyond Good and Evil 2 and led the development during the turbulent times of the toxic workplace that was affecting Ubisoft and 1st party studios.
