Should I call this a surprising thing to happen or maybe an expected thing that the only unknown variable was timing? I’ll let you just that, but the truth is that we are not done with remakes (as the everlasting lack of creativity in gaming in general in my opinion).

Remedy Entertainment announced a partnership with Rockstar Games in which Remedy will be developing a remake of the first two Max Payne video games.

Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne were released back in Playstation 2 and Xbox respectively by 2001 and 2003 as a product by Remedy back then, but by Max Payne 3, Rockstar Games decided to use their own in-house studio.

The studio announced that the game is still in pre production so it should be QUITE SOME TIME we heard about progress and why probably PS4 and Xbox One will not see a release, but it will use their Northlight game engine (refer to Control on how good the games will look).

For newcomers of gaming, Max Payne is a series about a New York City police detective turned vigilante after his family was murdered by drug addicts and known to be the first time a game featured the Bullet Time or an esque-The-Matrix ability to dodge bullets.

Brace yourselves for a long way.
