I know, I know, the pandemic, war and inflation is impacting gaming industry but this particular delay notice is a deal to me because I am eager to play Replaced but unfortunately we’ve got some bad news.
Their developers, Sad Cat Studios, announced that they needed more time for development for their new game Replaced as the situation with the Ukraine invasion by Russia has created instability enough to have development teams located in both Belarus and Ukraine to understandably, have their safety a top priority.
Development has restarted all right but Replaced already didn’t have a proper release date before being declared that the game is 2023 bound now.
For those who haven’t heard, Replaced is a 2.5D sci-fi retro-futuristic action platformer where you play as R.E.A.C.H. - an artificial intelligence trapped in a human body against its own will. REPLACED combines cinematic platformer, pixel art and free-flow action combat set in an alternative 1980's.
Particularly, it has been praised for the graphical details that we are going to experiment once we get the game to play.
The game is bound for Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PC. It will be available on release day via Game Pass.
