Capcom Showcase went as scheduled last afternoon and while we were expecting some announcement regarding REsident Evil, it was quite a collection of announcements and in my opinion, ALL are welcome!

Next-Gen Update for Resident Evil 2 Remake, 3 Remake and 7 Biohazard are live

It is time to return to Raccoon City and Louisiana as Capcom already launched the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series S and X version of Resident Evil 2 & 3 Remake and Resident Evil 7 Biohazard’s next-gen update.

The updates will bring support for 4K resolution with high frame rate, ray tracing capacity and 3D audio.

For the Playstation 5 version, all games will have support for haptic feedback.

The update will be free for those who had the game on PS4 and Xbox One and of course, first time buyers can buy the game via Playstation Store and Microsoft Store.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will bring more replay value

Capcom announced the Gold Edition of Resident Evil Village and three important things will be coming as a novelty for the eight official entries of the Resident Evil series and the first immediate thing is that Rose Winters will star on Village next DLC.

For those who finished the game, know that we got a glance of a grown-up Rose Winters visiting Ethan’s grave and it was suggested that her mother Mia and herself have been in the care of Chris Redfield and that many within the organization (the new Umbrella Corporation) knows about her abilities.

Now, at Gold Edition, there will be a DLC called Shadow of Rose where apparently Rose have been dealing with a hard childhood as maybe her powers got the best of her (play the game to understand this as I already spoiled some details) and seems that she is at the Dimitrescu Castle in an alternate dimension, probably her mind playing games against herself.

Also, Resident Evil Village will win a 3rd party mode and if you followed mod community for the PC version, it was already suggested the game was kinda prepared to be played on 3rd person mode as RE 2 and 3 Remake (as they share the same engine) and finally Capcom decided it was time to bring the mode and we are having a new perspective of the game and probably more details on key scenes.

Finally, The Mercenaries will have a expansion of its own and players will win Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg and Lady Dimitrescu as playable character

Final delay RE:Verse anywhere

Finally, RE:Verse, its mini Battle Royale that was originally offered as a compliment on buying Resident Evil Village last year and that was delayed two times since it was announced and last update, the game was bound for first half of 2022 and now, it will be coming on October 28th, 2022 along side the Shadow Of Rose DLC.

UPDATE

Article was update as erroneously implied that RE:Verse was nowhere to be seen and corrected with date.
