As promised, Nontendo did a surprising and impromptu Nintendo Direct regarding what should be expecting of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and to have more broad use of the surprising factor, we have a notion what should we expect on Year 1 of the newest entry of the Xenoblade Chronicles series.
Still recovering mentally from an horrible experience AND failing on pre-ordering the Special Edition, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will launch on July 29.
But as you can see on their recent Nintendo Direct, Nintendo confirmed content for the game post launch, including its first expansion bound for within August 2022 through December 2023.
It will be free for those who order the Expansion Pack that will have the new storyline later for the game and meanwhile, the $29.99 Expansion Pack will bring a variety of unnamed “helpful items” and color variants for your characters’ outfits that the game's very first day one.
Before the end of 2022, we can expect a Hero character and quests, a new Challenge Battle, and new outfits.
Then the new storyline that marks the new scenario as the Expansion for the game.
Despite using a stand-alone formula with Xenoblade Chronicles 2's Torna The Golden Country, this will not be the case for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3, but coming from Nintendo, I would not be surprised if they make a U turn and launch the new storyline as a stand-alone.
