We just got confirmed that the leak by Upper Echelon Gamers is actually true and the company mentioned Quantic Lab decided to have a word with one of the outlets that highlighted the video report.

It was with VideoGamesChronicle that Quantic Lab CEO Stefan Seicarescu confirmed that the documents leaked are veridic.

But unusually, instead of attacking its verdict, the executive did attack the "misunderstanding" of the employee leaker of the QA environment.

Practically the papers showcase and put them as the main culprits of Cyberpunk 2077's initial performance and how their lack of ownership and misleading CD Projekt Red just to land more contracts out of simple jobs, leaving most of the game without proper care.

In a short version, he denies that the video is Quantic Lab's wholestory and that QA procedures are misunderstood commonly and also, that their services were not the only one that CD Projekt Red requested for Cyberpunk 2077.

About the good timing on recruiting more employees as they were looking more contracts form CD Projekt Red, Seicarescu claims that companies like Quantic Lab manage several projects in parallel and at the time, they were working with 200 other projects and while there are non disclosure agreement (and insisting on the QA task was not exclusive to them).

Customer can have other companies doing QA in parallel, suggesting that a miscommunication within those companies contracted to do QA on their own could have been an issue for Cyberpunk 2077 and at the end, let to the difficult launch and Year 1 for the game.

What I can conclude with this impromptu interview, practically Quanti Lab wanted to have CD Projekt Red the ball at their court as it seems that the studio deserves some part of the blame or also to do some explaining.

No words form CDPR as of the writing of this.
