A gaming gadget that was released last year was the Playdate from the company known as Panic, as a new portable gaming console with an unusual human-machine interaction with a fish rod-like controller.

Well, the good news is that the Playdate will have a proper game store online that launched today as “Catalog”, will include 16 Playdate games and apps, including 11 brand new titles and also, the Playdate will have a successor, already in development.

The bad news and petty much as expected with many announcers is that new order being made for the current Playdate device, will see an increase of $20, which Panic justify the increase as;

“That $20 delta is largely because our factory recently gave us the inevitable news that in 2023, the price of building a single Playdate is going up.”

It was assured that pending orders will not see the price reflected as again, this will be effective from newer orders made after the announcement.
