A new era for Seattle based studio Bungie as Sony has finally closed the transaction to buy them with the promise of no Playstation exclusivity, but will they honor that in the future's long term?
That is a question that remains, but as promised, Bungie IS NOT joining Playstation Studio and will remain with complete autonomy.
With that in mind, it was already stated that future games will not be necessarily a Playstation exclusives and while the possibility still that an occasional Playstation-bound title might come, plans are that Bungie is working on what is next for them after 2023's and last Destiny 2 expansion comes to live.
It has been general knowledge that Bungie is working on a new Intellectual Property that will go away from the style they established when they created Halo (reminder, Microsoft bought the Halo rights after letting Bungie became independent again last decade) and Destiny, but details have been well guarded and nothing has leaked until the writing of this.
Sony did say that it is working on several live services and it is obvious that a Bungie title is one of them, but it is not clear if this happens to be the game to be announced next year.
