Being completely honest, Summer is ending and late Fall, early Winter is the next big season for gaming in general and this led me to believe that at least Amazon will wind down Prime Gaming offerings and it seems that I was wrong.

Amazon confirmed what is in store for September 2022's offering for Prime Gaming subscriber (via Amazon Prime and we are seeing the entrance of 7 temporarily claimable free games (and YOURS forever regardless of ending Prime subscription).

The games are:

  • The Dig - a point-and-click adventure game developed by LucasArts and released in 1995 as a CD-ROM for PC and Macintosh computers. Like other LucasArts adventure games, it uses the SCUMM video game engine.
  • Football Manager 2022 - a 2021 football-management simulation video game developed by Sports Interactive and published by Sega. 
  • Assassin's Creed: Origins - a 2017 action role-playing video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the tenth major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, telling the story of the possible first Assassin living in the Ancient Egypt timeline.
  • Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (GOTY Edition) - a 2014 action-adventure video game developed by Monolith Productions and published by Warner Bros and being the GOTY edition, it includes all the post-launch DLCs.
  • Defender Of The Rook - A roguelike tactics board combat combined with tower defense elements.
  • We. The Revolution - a unique game with a singular art style set in the blood-soaked and paranoid world of the French Revolution, where often you could not tell a friend from an enemy.
  • Castle on the Coast -  a bedazzling collectathon arcade platformer.
  • Word of the Law: Death Mask Collector's Edition - Investigate serial crimes and city government secrets! You're the only one who can get on the trail and break the chain of murders.

Finally, the Amazon Luna offering for this month's free access to Prime user (non-Luna subscribers) are Hot Wheels: Unleashed, Earthworm Jim, Everspace, Yooka-LayLee And The Impossible Lair, Riptide GP Renegade and Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.
