Ironically where Ubisoft and Square Enix want to prove that there is gaming space within the growing NFT fever, some gaming studios are doing the contrary and Xbox Game Studio's Mojang is making sure that Minecraft is not being associated with any crypto.
Well, this article won't take long and don't feel bad if you are an NFT fan hoping to make good use of your Minecraft server.
But for Mojang, using Minecraft as NFT source is a no-no and Blockchain technologies are not permitted to be integrated inside our client and server applications, nor may Minecraft in-game content such as worlds, skins, persona items, or other mods, be utilized by blockchain technology to create a scarce digital asset.
With this, the company recognizes that it cannot control what NFT backers/sellers/companies but called them fraudulent and warned players of buying these unauthorized NFT that practically, will not take part of the game ever.
And yes, the topic is polarizing as I already saw reactions from both sizes. NFT skeptics are celebrating the decision as they expect NFT to explode back to recent proposers like Ubisoft, Gamestop, and Square Enix, while some NFT fans and gamers worry that this kind of news is only more fuel for conspiracy and sets a wrong precedent for distrusting NFT beforehand.
You be the judge!
