Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic was a game that was developed to immerse deeply in the Star Wars's lore and explore the rivalry between Jedi and Sith as per Darth Maul mentioned to Darth Sidious at Episode I: "At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge".

Well, the Star Wars: KOTOR game was originally released in 2003 as a Xbox and PC temporarily exclusive and developed by BioWare (before being bought by Electronic Arts) and currently the game is offered as a free-to-play (including its sequel at Steam) and the rest is history until 2022.

After long rumors and at almost its 20th anniversary, Embracer Group confirmed that a Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic was in development but that was it since then…

In reality, Embrace and its studio Aspyr Media are having big troubles as Bloomberg originally reported, neither Sony and LucasFilm Games were pleased with the current state of development after watching a demo and even before that, Embracer Group already shaken the development team that included the firing of two development executives.

Practically Embracer Group did put weight on this rumor as in his latest earning report is state:

"One of the Group’s AAA projects has transitioned to another studio within the Group. This was done to ensure the quality bar is where we need it to be for the title. We are not expecting any material delays for the title based on this transition."

Of course, it has been enormously suggested that in fact, the "title" is Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic remake and that the new studio is Saber Interactive and will be handled by its eastern Europe's team.

This will probably mean the game has high probability that it will miss the 2023 release year and it would have been a great launch celebrating the 20th anniversary since the release of the original game.
