It is May 24, 2022 and it is time that Bungie starts a brand new season for Destiny 2 called the Season Of The Haunted and this is all that Destiny 2 gains from today to August 23 while we are still fighting Nightmares.

Season 17 or Season Of The Haunted have started and Guardians should expect Solar 3.0 re-work of their abilities and the Trespasser Exotic Sidearm from way back in Destiny 1's Rise of Iron expansion.

In terms of the in-game lore, Calus, the exiled Cabal Emperor, has been doing things behind the scenes that got his ship Leviathan corrupted with Nightmares such as trying to talk to the pyramid on the moon to gain access to the power of the Darkness.

This means that LEviathan, the map for Destiny’s first ever raid is back and it is explorable without triggering the raid event including patrol.

About Solar 3.0, it is a revamped flaming ability that Guardians gains and it varies depending on the class that we choose.

For Warlock, grenades shoot out additional fire bombs around the area. This is part of the Touch of Flame Aspect, which improves grenades in a variety of ways and a new melee called Incinerator that sends a wave of flames in front of the Warlock.

For Titan, Consecration, a moveset that includes the Guardian slide forward, flinging fire out along the ground; do an uppercut; and then slam back into the ground with a flaming smash and apparently, will serve for launching grenades. 

Finally, Hunter gains Gunpowder Gamble is a new throwing ability where Hunters chuck a cluster of grenades taped together. While mid-air, Hunters can shoot the grenades to make them explode, dealing massive damage to the area.

Bungie reworked the gear area and for weapon balance, Glaives are getting a big boost after being nerfed in the previous seasons and thi means that melee attacks are stronger and trigger perks. Trace rifles will be doing more damage as well, and changes to PVP should make in-air combat more viable.

As for the Iron Banner events, all changes that were given an eyebrow raise by many, will disappear and will have all that out, particularly the Power level and as for the Trial Of Osiris and Solstice For Heroes will have great loot but we are waiting to see the changes.
