A while ago, #Nintendo submitted a big set of patents locally at Japan that if granted, makes many mechanics of the new Zelda as proprietary. Now it was revealed that Nintendo submitted a new one where details a joystick that contains a ‘magnetorheological fluid’ (MRF), which changes viscosity depending on the intensity of a magnetic field. The move is BIG as one of the negative aspect on the life of the Nintendo Switch was the issue known as "drifting" where a joycon sticks could not maintain its absolute zero position provoking troubles for moments that you need 100% of CONTROL of characters/camera movements. But Nintendo lack of "rush" on solving this situation only limiting to special discounts and a short-lived repair program (legally obligated to add the insult), made the issue almost impossible to solve unless gamers resorted on 3rd parties. I believe this is Nintendo saying "HELL NO BE ON THIS CRAP AGAIN" on the next Nintendo hardware, heavily suggested to be announced on Spring 2024 and launching at the second half of 2024. #gaming #gamingnews

Made a quick test & got to resort to https://github.com/71/stadiacontroller/releases for a proper connection with VDX to simulate a PS4 controller. My Navy Blue is officially dead (left analog stick almost unresponsive + drifting), but white Stadia Controller on Warzone 2.0 felt nice in 5 mins of play. I read some existing and updated alternatives to the Stadia Controller OG virtual emulator and will try them with more ease tomorrow night.

Hoping that drifting problem doesn't explode on the Steam Deck's analog sticks, iFixit confirmed to The Verge that their repair and replacement kits will be available starting this summer. Since last week it has been reported that some Steam Decks are not paying attention to the neutral position of levers, to which Valve responded with a patch that strengthens the precision to define the neutral position.
