A little odd that THQ Nordic decided to go almost two weeks ahead of Gamescom for a proper presentation for what's next from their gaming studios, but in E3-almost-dying-state days, the liberty of the Internet can enable us to choose our time it seems.
So with this, here are the main announcements for the THQ Nordic Showcase 2022:
Alone In The Dark Remake
Developed by Pieces Interactive and the writer of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and SOMA, Alone in the Dark is a love letter to the original Alone in the Dark, telling a brand-new story in this Southern Gothic horror.
No release date was shared, but the game is being developed for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X and PC.
Tempest Rising
A PC only (maybe for the time being) real-time strategy game utilizing next-gen graphics and RPG-elements.
Wreckreation
A new arcade racer from ex-developers of games like Burnout and Need for Speed. Wreckcreation allows you to create the track of your wildest dreams all in a massive sandbox. Build your track with friends online and then prepare to race, crash, and drift through your massive creation.
The game is slated for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S?X and PC.
Space For Sale
Another PC only game and here you play as a property developer turning planets into livable dream homes for would-be buyers.
Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed
Reprobed is the next-gen version of Destroy All Humans! 2 Remake, developed for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X and PC and coming by the end of August.
Gothic Remake
Gothic, a reimagining of the original 2000s action RPG. Set out in this medieval fantasy world, going next-gen only including PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.
Jagged Alliance 3
A sequel to the classic Jagged Alliance series, played as a band of mercenaries in this top-down strategy game set in an African warzone, it is developed for PC only.
Outcast 2
The sequel to the cult-classic adventure game, Outcast 2 promises a vast and strange alien planet exploration with lots of danger, going next-gen for PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.
Knights of Honor 2
Command your armies across Europe in this new gameplay trailer for Knights of Honor 2: Sovereign, exclusive to PC.
Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake
A brand new Spongebob Squarepants game and it seems that this is one of those games that you can notice that THQ Nordic is saying goodbye to the old current gen as the game is developed for Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
The Valiant
A grand strategy game set during the crusades and is another PC only game for now (maybe?).
Way Of The Hunters
Marked as one of the first hunting simulators for the next-gen of gaming, being developed for Playstation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC.
Finally, THQ Nordic confirmed that they have over 25 new games in development that are unannounced titles, including the next original South Park game, so 2023 from THQ Nordic is going to be interesting!
