  • Latest noise within #Bungie is that the now Playstation subsidiary is on high alert as Sony can enact a clause on their agreement that the studio's board of directors can be dismissed and Sony take over at all.

The possibilities of Bungie being folded within Playstation Studios is now more real than ever and pretty much the underperformance of Destiny 2's sales can pretty much justify Sony to enact the mentioned clause.

Currently, Bungie is operating as an independent subsidiary after surprisingly, Sony announced acquiring it under that condition.

Since last year, Sony tasked Bungie on assess all GaaS project including the long awaited The Last Of Us multiplayer game and actually, most of them failed the assessment and explains why Sony decided to have Naughty Dog to scale back the game.

Recently, Bungie has come under fire after running a surprising layoff process as revenue of sales by Destiny 2 are under target and reportedly management has not been empathic with the people that got fired and doubled-down on improving things regardless the environment.

Now it has been rumored that a new layoff run is possible if the next expansion, The Final Shape, needs to be a success, while Bungie has not acknowledged publicly, but Marathon has been internally delayed by 2025.

Hello, I want more friends on here.

My names Ninjashixx or just Shixx.

And my favorite things are writing, streaming or podcasts.

I also like tabletop RPG's(because it's a lot like writing)

And watch Anime just because 馃槀

Rediscovering my interest in video games, at the moment it's pretty much everything, but I do play more Halo infinite than anything, occasionally apex, new world, baldurs gate, starfield.

  • In a surprising move, Sony and Jim Ryan confirmed that he will leave his position as SIE and #Playstation CEO on March 2024, alluding that since 1994, working for Sony between USA and Japan while being a European resident, has become a personal challenge.

While not a stranger in Sony as he began in mid 90's, he landed the Sony Interactive Entertainment, the parent company of Playstation on 2019 replacing John Kodera and pretty much oversaw the last stretch of the PS4 era and managed the pandemic-chaotic initial release of PS5.

While Ryan is praised for his sales and managements skills, which pretty much lead him to Playstation at the last part of his almost 20 years career at Sony, but he will also remembered for dismissing retro gaming to favor the narrative of Playstation as a dominant gaming force.

Also 2022 and 2023 will be remembered on how publicly went "not worried"of the Activsion Blizzard acquisition by Microsoft.

But in reality, led a massive lobbying campaign that failed as it ended him being called out at the end by the very same lawmakers in an embarrassing open letter that accused him and Playstation to actually being the cause of Xbox failing to capitalize in Japan since 2001.

Stream was pretty repetitive tonight I feel. It was a hard level at the end. Its probably the gamepad that controlled the cursor. P.S. I want to cancel Thursdays stream, as I could be busy with other things.

  • Charles Martinet and Shigeru Miyamoto finally explained was it is behind the #Mario Ambassador role that will have him removed from voicing Super Mario characters anymore.

Pretty much, he will be the face of Nintendo in Mario-related Nintendo media tours.
