The user experience is one of the important parts of any platform or service Development, Xbox is no exception and with this in mind, Microsoft is ready to revamp the user interface of Xbox Home Screen for Xbox Insider.
Today, Microsoft announced that they began work with a Xbox Home UI revamp that will have the focus on allowing a faster and easier way to play the games you love and find your next favorite game.
Starting this week, Microsoft will begin Alpha Testing via invites in the Xbox Insider platform and will allow Xbox Series S/X and Xbox One.
With the testing, users will be asked on how they perceive layout, design, and ease of access changes as they come but, main focus for the first round are:
- The new “Jump back in” row gives you quick access to your most recently played games and apps.
- Easily access important system apps like Settings, Store, Search and My Games & Apps with their own dedicated tiles on Xbox Home.
- Consistent design and visual identifiers with updated layouts to keep the experience familiar.
- When you scroll down, you’ll see curated categories and recommendations tailored to your gaming preferences.
Microsoft expects to have enough feedback for a proper stable version release due by 2023.
