Tells the legend that if it wasn't Capcom, it was SNK for all needs in the Fighting Community Gaming for years and while SNK has seen better days, definitely they want to recapture the old days vibe with nowadays needs.

For EVO 2023, SNK announced two important things.

Let’s start with Samurai Shodown and the 2019 remake of the original Samurai fighting franchise will have a rollback and while in programming means that the development has “retracted”, in this case it is a good thing.

The so called netcode rollback is SNK retiring the current online capacity to apply an improved one that will enable crossplay in the different platforms that Samurai Shodown is already available, using the same netcode for crossplay as King Of Fighters XV.

The deployment of the game’s updated with the new netcode (developed by Code Mystics) will be released by Spring 2023.

Meanwhile in the King Of Fighters XV scene adn beside the crossplay itself, SNK announced that there will be debuting team called Team Samurai that includes Haohmaru, Nakoruru, and Darli Dagger from Samurai Showdown and two new individuals fighters Shingo Yabuki and Kim Kaphwan.

All these new fighters are coming for Team Pass 3.

New Fatal Fury Game

For those that doesn’t know Team Fatal Fury, brothers Terry and Andy Bogard with Joe Hegashi were the OG fighters for SNK as before even King Of Fighters was conceived, Fatal Fury was their original fighting game offering debuting on arcade and console in 1991 and ended with their 6th canon entry Garou: Mark of the Wolves on 1999.

Well, after 23 years, SNK has announced that it will release a new Fatal Fury game but details are currently unavailable and we will probably see more news as early at The Tokyo Game Show to a more probable E3 2023 season.
