Once again, there is a new Stadia version for Android and with this a proper APK Teardown done once again by Stadia Dosage and as a reminder, this can give us proper tips on what Google might be quietly working on its Cloud Gaming platform.

This time around, Stadia Dosage is increasing its warning that code reference should be taken as a grain of salt due to the continued migration from native Kotlin code to Flutter based Android coding.

With that aside, the first reference notable set of reference on Stadia 4.33 includes how Stadia will process data depending on the resolution of the medium that it is being used and goes as:

Up to 4K resolution. Data usage is typically under 20 GB/hr. Stadia Pro only.

Up to 4K resolution. Data usage is typically under 20 gigabytes per hour. Stadia Pro only.

Data usage is typically under 20 GB/hr

Data usage is typically under 20 gigabytes per hour

Data usage is typically under 14.4 GB/hr (1440p rate)

Up to 1080p resolution. Data usage is typically under 12.6 GB/hr.

Up to 1080p resolution. Data usage is typically under 12.6 gigabytes per hour.

Data usage is typically under 12.6 GB/hr

Data usage is typically under 12.6 gigabytes per hour

Up to 720p resolution. Data usage is typically under 4.5 GB/hr.

Data usage is typically under 4.5 GB/hr

Up to 720p resolution. Data usage is typically under 4.5 gigabytes per hour.2

Data usage is typically under 2.7 GB/hr

Data usage is typically under 2.7 gigabytes per hour

The next set of code reference might give us a hint that Google is not done with self-streaming capacities of Stadia and probably a big performance update for 1440p and 4K resolution is already at the oven:

RenderMagnification

set:magnificationScale

MagnifierDecoration

ZoomEnterTransitionState

ZoomEnterTransitionDelegate

ZoomExitTransitionState

ZoomExitTransitionState

ZoomTransitionBase

ZoomExitTransitionDelegate

determineMagnifierPositionAndFocalPoint

set:focalPointOffset

updateScaledTransform

TextMagnifierState

CupertinoTextMagnifierState

package:flutter/src/material/magnifier.dart

While is not 100% certain, Stadia Dosage believes that the next set of string in the code might have to do with Stadia becoming more compatible with specialized controllers, probably with trackpads and combination of inputs:

enableSirenMultithreadedGamepad

set:enableSirenMultithreadedGamepad

get:enableSirenMultithreadedGamepad

sirenVideoPipelineMidLatencyThresholdFlag

get:sirenVideoPipelineMidLatencyThreshold

set:sirenVideoPipelineMidLatencyThreshold

Next, are:

IMMERSIVE_EVENTS

IMMERSIVE_SPORTS

These strings are related to the surprising Stadia's support for esport events and tournaments organizations and seems that still there is some work to do but it would be great that year 4 of Stadia could be the year of "esport via Cloud Gaming".

Also and in my opinion, a unnecessary one but there are people that probably would like to be confirmed when a game, for example is loading and the next set of strings may suggest this:

Waiting for the game to start.

enableWaitingForGameText

enableWaitingForGameTextFlag

get:enableWaitingForGameText

Returning with the self-ability to stream a gameplay, now Stadia will allow users to control who actually enters the stream with:

acceptAskToWatchAction

AcceptAskToWatchAction_ShareGameStream

Proving that Ubisoft's relationship with Google remains strong, there may be some news this next Saturday September 10th as there is reference that you can "try Ubisoft+ for free until October 10th" and with this, there may be some news on the next edition of Ubisoft Forward regarding their subscription service.

Finally, Stadia Dosage could not guessed what this big set of new string could mean:

StoreHomeLink

get:allowRasterization

RasterWidgetController

RasterWidgetFallbackDelegate

RasterWidgetDelegate

supportsRasterization

searchUserFlowStepTag

searchUserFlowScreen

performSpellCheck

SpellCheckConfiguration

getSelectedTabFocusNode

searchPromoFeatureProperties

whosTalkingChanged

TransformedPointerScrollInertiaCancelEvent

get:prefixIconColor

getLatotaleSubscriptionPrice

createSceneForImage

shouldHideDiscount

NessieAdaptiveUIDataValues

error while calling rpcStopGame

SustainabilityFeature

sustainabilityFeature

moveRightAndModifySelection

StreamDelegateContext

get:isPlaytestComplete

But sure Google does keep adding things is only good news for Stadia fans.
