You wouldn’t expect major companies joining forces unless it is a cross in the style of Capcom and SNK for a direct (AND LEGENDARY) example. But this week, Electronic Arts and KOEI Tecmo have made a big and interesting exception.
Out of nowhere, Electronic Arts and KOEI Tecmo have announced a game that has begun development and will be published via the EA Origin brand, which is the publishing arm for independent studios, with KOEI Tecmo as the developers.
While it is incredible that KOEI Tecmo is serving as an “indie dev” considering the company is made of two former gaming veterans, probably business wise is for the best as being on EA Origins, means that all sales are going directly to them.
About the game, it was stated that it is a new original AAA hunting game based in feudal Japan with details will be given in the coming months.
KOEI Tecmo is known to have given great games based on The Romance Of The Three Kingdom Franchise, including a strategy game of the same name and a hack-n-slash derivate called Dynasty Warriors and precisely, its principal development studios Omega Force, will be heading efforts on the new game.
