Again we got more news from the production of Gran Turismo and it seems everything is ready for the filming of the next proposed Playstation Productions, to start next week and hopefully everything going on schedule.
The Hollywood Reporter claims to have sources with Playstation Productions that says actor Orlando Bloom has also agreed on joining the cast, reportedly playing a “a hungry marketing exec who is selling the sport of motor racing … and just may believe in its art, too.”
This probably will describe the antagonist of the movie, because there always needs to be an antagonist in every movie.
As a reminder, the synopsis of the movie says:
"Based on a true story, the film is the ultimate wish fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver."
Meanwhile this week, the same THR had published that David Harbour will play a retired racer that will be the mentor of the teenage Gran Turismo player, who will be played by Zach Baylin.
This will be the second Playstation Productions to reach Theaters after the Uncharted movie with Tom Holland and Mark Walhberg and not going directly to streaming services and Sony is aiming for a August 11, 2023 release.
