Finally we got the formal presentation of the proposal of KOEI Tecmo becoming a new member of EA Originals by Electronic Arts and presenting the new original game called Wild Hearts that ironically serves as a spiritual competitor to Monster Hunter.
Wild Hearts is Set in Azuma, in a fantasy feudal Japan setting, and will have teams of up to three players taking on "giant nature-infused beasts called Kemono".
While this sounds Monster Hunter alright, the big main difference is that the mechanics of the game is more about developing your hunting skills via the construction and maintenance of an artifact known as Karakuri.
Players with time, can have companions sharing the Karakuri to also use it as a weapon against enemies.
Wild Hearts will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC via Origin and surprisingly is not exclusive on EA launcher as the game will also be available via Steam, and Epic Game Store on February 17, 2023.
