A rare moment in the modem gaming industry happened this week and a game announced and heavily marketed that is not making a debut in an already confirmed market and it is The Callisto Protocol that will not see a Nippon video games store any time soon.

The Japanese Twitter account of The Callisto Protocol confirmed that the Japan version of the game will not be published due not landing an age rating without condescending conditions.

As per Eurogamer, a game that is going to be launched in Japan, needs to be reviewed by the  Japanese Computer Entertainment Rating Organisation and at the moment, granted the CERO rating which makes the game NOT suitable for the public.

Striking Distance Studios and publisher Krafton decided to not go further appeal as the condition for achieving the minimum rating and hence allowing the sale of the game was too much to take and enough to ruin the game as it was envisioned.

I had to agree with opinions that said that this is a double face, hypocritical move as Konami and Capcom are no strangers in survival horror games and ALREADY broke the bar many times respectively with Silent Hill, Resident Evil and others.
