This is the first update since Nintendo acknowledged to their shareholders that they plan to build their own entertainment house in expectation that the new Super Mario Bros. movie with Illumination will be a success.

Nintendo have officially founded Nintendo Pictures and its entertainment subsidiary went live today, Oct 3.

Via the new website, the intro message of the subsidiary says (translated):

"Nintendo Pictures Co., Ltd. is a video production company wholly owned by Nintendo Co., Ltd.

We aim to have consumers around the world learn about Nintendo characters through video, and to create unique videos that will remain in their memories forever.

To that end, each and every one of our employees will always think about what our customers around the world will find interesting, and we will work hard to create an organization that can continue to grow by engaging in video production with interest.

We will continue to challenge ourselves to continue providing unique and surprising images to customers around the world, transcending generations and eras."

For those who didn’t know, this comes from the product of Nintendo buying Dynamo Pictures, known in the gaming world to be the motion tracker that has worked for games like Persona 5, Death Stranding, Ninja Gaiden PS3/Xbox 360 onward era, Dead Or Alive 4, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Metroid: Other M and some anime productions.
