A while ago, we were told that Electronic Arts and Marvel reached an agreement to bring the first original non-VR Iron Man game for gamers and now, we got more news regarding this new partnership.
Electronic Arts has confirmed reports that their partnership with Marvel is of three games for both consoles and PC with the original Iron Man game being the first.
While there are no details on the next two games, EA went specific on what we should expect of the Iron Man Game, currently in early development by EA Motive.
“Developed in collaboration with Marvel, the Iron Man game will feature an original narrative that taps into the rich history of the character, channeling the complexity, charisma, and creative genius of Tony Stark, and enabling players to feel what it’s like to truly play as Iron Man. The team is being led by Olivier Proulx, who brings experience working on past Marvel titles like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and is joined by a dedicated team of passionate industry veterans including Ian Frazier, Maëlenn Lumineau, and JF Poirier at the studio.”
This is not the first foray of an Iron Man game as PSVR landed an original VR game with gamers experiencing a virtual representation on what was the feeling of being Iron Man in general.
Obviously EA’s take is not going to be as direct as the Iron Man VR game, but sure we were expecting an original Iron Man game for a while.
