Despite not being the best years for Netflix in general, the Movie and TV Series Streaming giant has his sights set on gaming with his Netflix Games subsidiary and once again has taken his wallet to buy another gaming studio.
This time, Spry Fox, a gaming studio founded in 2010 in Seattle, Washington, announced that they were bought by Netflix.
They are known for being the developers of the Cozy Grove games series, which is currently developing its sequel highlighted as a non-violent Massively Multiplayer Online game which has been compared as a third party response to Nintendo’s Animal Crossing game.
This will mark the first no-mobile gaming exclusive studio so far and we shall see that a Netflix Games branding is bound for Epic Game Store as the game probably will be the next marketing spot for Unreal Engine as Spry Fox has touted that everything, including Epic Games’s support is behind the development of the game.
