Appealing more to their gamers audience, Netflix once again will be doing some content and this time, it is from Xbox Game Studios popular franchise Gears Of War and the queue of content development includes an animated series and an original movie.

Today is the 16 birthday of Gears Of War, after Microsoft decided to buy the development studio The Coalition and the license of the franchise from Epic Games while the concept was in development.

There have been five main games and three spin offs later, and now, Netflix wants to add more to its portfolio.

The Coalition and Netflix announced that an original film of Gears Of War is in production and will be followed by an adult-oriented animated series, unfortunately besides getting our emotion and hype at high, no release date window was offered.

Interestingly, The Coalition has not yet updated on any of the work they started in May 2021 about transitioning the Gears Of War with Unreal Engine 5 and sixth game sequel to Gears 5, the main 5th game which started a new storyline that ended on Gears Of War 4.

There has been a big rumor since the launch of Gears 5 that The Coalition has set up a database monitoring how gamers make their choices to advance the game and could probably make it canon for the storyline of Gears 6 or Gears Of War 6.
