A pleasant surprise from Ubisoft for fans of one of the most iconic original Tom Clancy games, with Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell and not only we got confirmation that the remake of the 2002 classic game, but the PC version of the classic is free.

We are a month into the full year since Ubisoft confirmed that it was remaking Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell and the company did not want us to wait any longer for details.

Besides the conceptual arts that describe how the game will look on the final product, Ubisoft said that the game will be development with the updated in-house Snowdrop graphics engine, the same one that was used on The Division 2 and currently, being used on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Ubisoft’s upcoming Star Wars game.

Also for those who know how the story develops, Ubiosft will rewrite the story to have more original content and appeal to today's audience.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell is a series of stealth action-adventure video games, the first of which was released in 2002, and their tie-in novels that were endorsed by Tom Clancy.
