Well it was no secret thanks to a notorious hack on Capcom a while ago, the japanese veteran finally confirmed the recent wave of rumors that Monster Hunter Rise would end be a Nintendo Switch exclusive and became official.
Capcom not only confirmed the game for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X, but it will be remastered to 4K resolution at 60fps and only the next-gen console will support 3D Audio with Xbox One following and will be the only previous-gen console to receive 3D Audio.
Monster Hunter Rise will launch on the previously named platform on January 20th, 2023 and will also be launched the very same day on Xbox Game Pass.
Unfortunately and this seems to be a strategy to not cannibalize on the Nintendo Switch version, there will be NO cross-platform and only crossplay environment is within Playstation with both PS4 and PS5 player will be able to play with each other in the multiplayer mode and NONE cross-saving for nobody.
Of course, the Sunbreak expansion will also be making its way to other platforms but no release date has been given yet.
Monster Hunter Rise is a 2021 action role-playing game by Capcom and the sixth main title of the Monster Hunter franchise released for the Nintendo Switch in March 2021 and PC in January 2022.
